bits & pieces putwtogether to present a semblance of a Whole
you might recognize this statement from artist lawrence weiner’s piece that welcomes you to the walker art center. it is a phrase that has influenced me and helped shape my artwork.

the collage pieces that are presented here are created from various ephemera I have collected over twenty years. the work touches on the life cycle, emotions, the choices that define us, dreams, working with others, embracing your strife and finding your place in the world.  i try to touch on these subjects with humor, style and color. 

each piece begins with an idea and rough sketch. i then dive into my piles of paper searching for the right image or color to fit the collage. as I dig through thrift store books and recycled magazinesi I am looking for the puzzle pieces that help convey my message. contact >
